Dojo Etiquette

While the club is fairly informal, we do expect students to follow certain rules of behaviour while attending the club.

Students should arrive in time to help lay the matting
Students should make sure their uniform or gi is clean
Students should phone Steven Robb if they won't be attending class
All black belts should keep in contact with the instructor
Students should make sure their nails are clean and pared
No jewellery to be worn on the mat
Hair to be tied back
No student should use Aiki-jutsu techniques outside the class unless for self-defence.
Students should have 75% attendance for examinations
Any student who is not a member of the Ayrshire Aiki-Jutsu club will be refuse tuition

We practise courtesy and respect towards students and instructors. We encourage discipline and good attendance as these will help students to progress.
